Second Floor Selborne Chambers Pty Limited is a floor of barristers, currently comprised of 19 members. The Floor was opened in 1982 and has a long history of providing quality legal services to solicitors and clients, in both city and country areas of New South Wales. Several of our members were former solicitors, from both Sydney and regional New South Wales, and they now practise as barristers in Phillip Street, the centre of Sydney legal advocacy.

Floor members include senior counsel, experienced senior junior counsel, and junior counsel. From time to time accommodation is provided to readers, members of the legal profession who have completed the Bar Practice Course and are starting work as junior barristers.

Chambers are located on the second floor at 174 Phillip Street, Sydney. The building is in the heart of the central legal district of Sydney, adjacent to the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

The District Court and Local Court of New South Wales, and various Tribunals, are within walking distance of chambers. Members appear in the above courts and tribunals, and also make appearances interstate and overseas.

Second Floor Selborne Chambers provides barristers who are strongly skilled in a broad cross- section of the law. The main areas represented are administrative law, personal injury, professional and medical negligence, commercial, corporate and equity, trade practices, family provisions, criminal, wills and probate, building and construction, mediation, migration and general civil litigation.
