About
Jonathan specialises in alternative dispute resolution and commercial law, principally in the areas of banking and financial services, taxation and revenue, building and construction, and trade practices.
Jonathan also accepts direct briefs from in-house counsel and government departments.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Jonathan held senior appointments with ASX listed financial institutions and with one of Australia’s largest community service organisations. He has significant experience in corporate strategy, governance and prudential regulation.
For almost 20 years, he has advised corporations and individuals on a wide variety of matters: mergers and acquisitions; taxation disputes; insurance and superannuation regulation; government procurement and tendering; corporations law; and several large building and construction and technology projects.
Jonathan holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and degrees in law, business, computing science and music. He was awarded prizes in Administrative, Health and Tort Law.
Jonathan is admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of NSW and maintains his appointment as a Justice of the Peace. He is a member of various professional bodies including the NSW Bar Association, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Tax Institute of Australia and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
